I am a beginner and I am having difficulty with isolated chrome, especially when it is thicker. The chrome is always gone at the edges (see photos) at the end result.
I apply a top matte coat, cure it for 60 seconds, then after applying the 3d gel I cure it for 60 to 90 seconds maximum (otherwise the 3d gel doesn't cure properly), I rub the chrome over the entire surface, wipe off the excess with a sponge, and then apply a no wipe top coat. I even bought one specifically for chrome!
I always make sure that the chrome is applied properly and on the edges before applying my top coat. Either I'm not checking properly or I do something wrong.
Do you have an idea of what I'm doing wrong and how to prevent it from happening?
