Ive just recently stepped into the lip world and am so overwhelmed by the choices.
I was recommended romand so i bought four of those all in different types as labeled in the pics
the swatches were just put on, left is untouched and right was rubbed a bit bc that is how i usually put them, took in different lightings
JLT fits my shade absolutely perfectly and the rest are a little too purple because i thought i had an epiphany and am extremely cool toned so bought everything mauve haha
first of all i cant tell if im cool or warm toned- my veins look blue to me, and my bare bare lips are super pale ghost that are kind of purple, when i put anything on it like vaseline or eat something oily it becomes more red less purple
second based off of that what colors would you recommend
third what brands, im mostly looking for anything that is most hydrating and good for my lips longterm because i have super chapped lips, and which of these types- romand jlt, dewyful, water tint, and glasting balm would you recommend for that.
ive read glasting is most hydrating, and jlt is most drying, not sure about the others, so planning on keeping glasting and another that color fits my lip really well and has a long tint
that said, which of the tints last the longest? when i put on my wrist the water tint seems to, but i cant tell when i put on my lips
im also looking for one thats not WAY too pigmented, something to keep me from looking like a walking ghost haha
thank for reading my long dilemma and would love any advice!

it’s really hard to tell if you’re warm or cool based on indoor lighting. do you have silver and gold accessories? test it on your skin in daylight. a lot of cheap plated gold accessories are a pale gold so make sure you find something that’s a proper yellowish gold for your test. Christmas tinsel works too.
if your lips are very dry you can put on lip balm and apply your lip colour over it. my lips also tend to be dry and I like the rom&nd glasting melting balm and dasique melting candy balm.
