Hello everyone. I got my nails done on Halloween with Gel X at a salon. She added chrome for me, which I really love, but I noticed after just one day, the tips are starting to wear. I found online that this can happen with chrome. I paid a little over $100 for this manicure for my first cruise and anniversary celebration, and our cruise leaves on Monday. Should I go back to the salon and ask the nail tech to fix it? And what should I say for her to fix it? I’ve heard of using a base coat before you apply the top coat, but since she’s already applied top coat and cured it, I’m not sure if that will still work, and I’m hesitant to share that with her because I don’t wanna sound like a know it all lol. This amount of wear wouldn’t normally bother me much, but since it’s a fresh manicure and I’m going on a cruise, I’m worried they will chip even more. I’d appreciate any advice. Thanks in advance!

Yes, they always chip 😖 Your nail tech wont be able to do anything about that. I try to limit their use when selecting looks or get them more in the centre of my nail bed. Tips always go first

I got them for Halloween also and they chopped first day on the tips. I’m rough on nails because ~toddlers~. Sorry you weren’t warned! They look amazing still and honestly even with the tips messed up they still will look great and festive.
