First time using press on nails, any tips?

I've been biting my nails for years due to OCD and decided to try fake nails to hopefully make me want to take care of my hands better. Right now it feels weird (especially when I type) and I have no clue if it even looks ok. I would love to hear some tips for beginners and how I can improve my applications!🩷
