Back in my comfort zone color! This is a frankenpolish I made from BKL Nosferatu mixed with a few drops of a bright cobalt to tint the base away from olive green. I looooved the glowy blue shimmer on Nosferatu but the base color looked sickly on me. I was playing around with mixing other colors when it occurred to me I could try to tint the base just enough to edge it back toward blue without losing the sheerness and it worked! Pictures do not capture just how glowy this blue is.

I didn't realize until after I made it that it looks really similar to Cracked O Type Star, which has been on my wishlist for a while now. I don’t think it’s exactly the same – I think O has a more grey crelly base – but this pretty well scratches the itch for me!

1x Nailtiques Formula 2+
2x Ella+Mila ridge filling base coat
3x frankenpolish (BKL Nosferatu mixed in a 5ml bottle with 12 drops of Vivre It’s Electric)
1x BKL I’m Fast QDTC

Last photo shows my frankenpolish (top) and the original Nosferatu (bottom) on swatch sticks (both 3 coats) to show the change in base color.

And because naming polish is almost as much fun as mixing it – I think I'll call this one Bellatrix, both as a nod to the original polish name (a monster) and the accidental dupe (another blue star).  Also because it means female warrior!

very pretty! I think your last photo didn’t load—maybe you can share it in the comments? I’d love to see what your starting point was.
