This time it’s Aki’s time to shine. I spent all day prepping for house painting, so now I am not just addicted to painting my nails… I’m simply painting everything around me. I also smashed my middle finger against the wall so… RIP to that nail. I treated myself to a little self care mani after all that work.

This shade from ANLAC (awesome nail lacquer) is not as sheer or jelly-like as Fuyu when built up in 3 coats, which is a plus for anyone who does not like visible nail line showing. It still retains some juicy-ness, just has more of a crelly finish.

I also finally got hold of a laboratory type tabletop magnetic stirrer. Now my beads are nice and small and glass-like which lets the yellow/gold/green shimmer in this muted cool purple (blurple?) base really shine through. Love a contrasting cool and warm base and shimmer 😮‍💨

  1. Base is Essie to the rescue

Main colour is ANLAC Aki x 3 coats (first two demagnetized for a smooth finish and last one in the glass bead method magnetized for two mins per nail)

Top coats are Sally Hansen Insta Dri and then Essie Speed Setter (I tried out the SH Insta Dri for the first time, but found the finish to be duller than the Essie so I just went over it with that and remagnetized both top coats)

Also here is the green shimmer in indirect light
