I’ve been using a large tangle teezer for the past few years, but it’s so hard to clean and the bristles are all bent now. I have thick, straight hair that tangles easily, so I’ve been looking into switching to a comb. I saw a TikTok about Japanese Love Chrome combs that mentions the comb having patented technology, which is the chrome bristles that adds negative ions to your hair as you brush.
It sounds good, but then I see they have a 24k gold comb that retails for $450 and that feels gimmicky to me. It’s available on their official U.S website and Amazon with the cheapest hair comb starting at $55 so I want to see if anyone has any insights or experience with any models of the combs before I commit to it. Is it a gimmick? Is it overrated? Or is it worth the investment? Another popular Japanese brand called ReFa makes similar hair products so are the Japan girlies onto something?
