    everyone has told me these look bad


    do these look that horrible with my skin tone? Should I get the color changed asap? I just got them done yesterday and am feeling self conscious.

    One friend said as long as you like it.
    Another sent me a chart for better fall colors for fair skin.

      I think they look good. Wear what you like and whatever makes you happy. They definitely don’t look horrible with your skin tone. Nail polish is an expression for me of how I’m feeling at a particular moment and I’m going to wear whatever catches my eye. Not all my manis flatter my olive skin but if I like the color, it makes me happy to wear it. Keep it and enjoy it then move on to the next color, OP.

      I’ll be honest, It wouldn’t be my first choice, but it’s really not that bad! The real question is did you like it before outside influence? I would just wear it personally, and not get it again if you’re not loving it! Don’t spend the money if you don’t need to!

      I’m kinda lukewarm on them from that pic, but honestly it’s hard to judge from just the hand; I can imagine them looking great if they match the tone of an outfit?

      I definitely wouldn’t think anything ill of it if I came across that in the wild!

      Nails don’t need to match your skin tone, it’s not makeup or clothing where it makes such a significant difference in the way you look— I love greens, I think this color is super cute! I’m very fair skinned and on the pinkish side, but I don’t let that stop me from wearing any color of the rainbow on my nails, they’re a form of art expression! I would say that if you’re not sold on the color, maybe see if they could add an iridescent cat-eye top coat or a deeper green chrome, that might add just the pop you might think is missing. 😁

      I don’t think they look bad at all! It just looks like an undertone contrast, like perhaps you’re quite cool toned, and these are leaning warm.

      If you are feeling really self-conscious, you could ask for a silver or blue chrome on top. But I honestly think they are totally fine. I am cool toned and I am currently wearing a warm brown because I like it.

      I think the color looks good.
      I have skin almost exactly like yours and sometimes wear that nice muted sage green, it’s perfect for fall!

      Do you like them? If you do, then don’t change them.

      Personally, I don’t like that colour for *me*, which might be the position your everyone is speaking from. People are quick to respond from their perspective & personal preferences (e.g. they look bad because they don’t like the colour as opposed to they look bad coz they’re janky).

      But for you? If you’re into it then I genuinely like it for you. Your one friend is right: if *you* like them & like the colour then keep them. They’re for *you*!
      Oh, and they seem fine with your skin tone. Maybe they clash with an outfit or something? But who cares? They look great & well done.

      My hands are pretty much the same color as yours, just with lots of freckles…& i tell you i might just have to check out that color next time i go to the salon. It’s absolutely gorgeous!! 💚

      I love this color on your skin tone, but agree with other comments that nails don’t have to be a perfect match for skin tone, season, whatever. Your friends are rude.
