I'm 57 and finally feeling confident about my skincare routine. For years I would buy serums and creams that I was not sure were making any difference. Now, I am using data.

My routine is basic (Tretinoin, Vitamin C, and loads of SPF), but the biggest difference for me is tracking my progress. I downloaded the GoodSkin AI scanner app and I scan my face every week. The app gives the scores for wrinkles, hydration, and texture, things like that.
Now, instead of looking into a mirror and guessing, I can see the actual scores. My 'texture' score was 68 when I started tretinoin, at the 6-month mark it is 85. The scores changing is how I know my routine is actually working, and it is what keeps me consistent.

In case anyone is interested, here is my routine:
AM: Timeless Vitamin C, Cerave Moisturizer, Elta MD SPF 46.

PM: DHC Deep Cleansing Oil, Vanicream Cleanser, Tretinoin 0.05%, La Roche-Posay Cicaplast Baume B5.

Honestly, being able to utilize a tool to actual see results has been a game-changer. I highly recommend if you are a bit of a data nerd like me and want proof that your routine is working!

  1. I just want to point out that uploading your face for AI to use may not be the best. I much prefer taking selfies and comparing them visually along with writing little notes. Pretty doubtful of how accurately AI can measure things like hydration or irritation based off a single picture anyway
