    1. Hello, I recently picked up this skintific water gel mainly because I was looking for FA safe gel moisturizers since I feel like my current be plain gel is kinda boring and I could use a bit more omphh since the weather is cooling down. I was initially hesitant since the brand was popping all over social media(its a SEA brand afaik?) And this gel is their newest launch. Seems pretty good ingredient wise: panthenol and ceramide…and ceramide is hard to come by in a gel formula…that’s also FA safe and low silicone%. I wasn’t too sure how effective it would be at moisturizing since for all I know it could be just minimal amounts added to make the ingredients look good, plus its also not that expensive, roughly $10 usd only so it is kinda sus 🤔

Usage-wise, the formula is pretty interesting. It looks like a thick chomccy gel but it instantly melts into water when rubbed on the skin and my initial thought was “i just splashed $10 water 🤡 ” but then there’s some tack left thats actually pretty hydrating? The level of hydration isnt amazing(compared to something like the aesturo hydro soothing gel cream or illiyoon gel) but considering the price, safeish ingredients, and comparing it to my current be plain gel and old sebamed gel, I might actually like this more. It’s been only 2 weeks so I’m not 100% sold if I’ll repurchase but so far I’m feeling positive about it. I feel like I need more time to discern if the ceramides and good stuff in it is enough to keep differin dryness and irritation down…and it will take some time for dryness and barrier damage to manifest. For now, I can confirm that this is 100% not for normal-dry skin people. There are better moisturizer out there, this is definitely for true oily skinned folks avoiding certain skin triggers.I will say that it’s nice to see how newer brands are incorporating better ingredients, sure wished brands were this conscious back when I was a student who could only find minimal good stuff in drugstore priced stuff loaded with fragrance and sensitizers 😅. Btw, this is fragrance free but there is a slight chemical scent from the ingredients.

Bonus: I got a sample size of the skintific ceramide toner since its also fa and seb derm friendly. I havent used it a lot yet since I want to test products one at a time so I can only give a first impression. It’s very very watery and I keep thinking about my old favorite, the matsuyama hadauru ceramide toner! Feels exactly like that! I tried putting it on my arm+layer of the water gel and the two combined feels nice. Could potentially be a good basic combo for people with FA issues if you can get it for cheap in SEA.
