I’ve been doing GelX and Gel on my friends and families nails for free in WA state. I went to school and have my certificate but I’m struggling to think I’m good enough to charge because it can take me anywhere from 2-4 hours for one set. I have everything I need but would only be able to take clients at home. Do you think I should start charging and how much? Also any tips on what I’ve done so far?

Omg yes… I’m curious how you haven’t started charging by now the nails are so cute

  2. The fact that your friends are not offering to pay you is boggling to me.
I would understand if you just started learning and still going to school, but you are licensed now and your work is amazing from what I can see.
Just talk to them beforehand and you definitely should take clients. Lots of technicians work from home.
Don’t sell yourself short and charge what the equivalent of your work is in your area.
    Good luck!

  3. My nail artist can take 2-3 hrs to do my nails depending on what I am getting. That is long but the quality of her work is amazing so I am willing to sit and to pay. Just throw on a tv show or movie and start charging!!
