Specifically my nailbeds. this is like my 2nd time getting my nails done its been a week and I feel like they're too thick but keep trying to rationalize it with it being due to the cateye. 😥
They’re definitely wonky. Like your index is super thick but only at the base and not at the actual apex where the strength needs to be. And then your other nails just look thick but flat with no apex. I would not go back to this tech.

with this shape they have to be that thick. I‘d file less off of the sidewalls and make them thinner, so your apex is still in the right place

A little and at the wrong part the little apex should be where the tip meets the rest kinda in the middle

They’re wonky and extremely differentiated between apex and tips.
Not a good job at all. No offense to you that has them on your fingers!
To anyone saying this is how they have to be- in what world?

My pointer fingers look like this on occasion but both of this nails have a more defined slope. Do your natural nails have a higher slope? That may explain the thickness of that nail.

Yes the apex is in the wrong spot. The base by your cuticle should be level with the nail and only a slight raised area where the most stress would be on your nail bed, then smooth transition to the tip again. About 2/3 of the way up the nail bed for that length nail. If it’s not smooth and gradual you don’t have the strength to have good retention and no breaks.

They’re thick in the wrong spots. This thickness is fine, the apex just needs to be moved.

perfectly fine for me
They look way too thick for my tastes.
