A quick comparison; pardon the mess! (I wanted to do this quickly before doing another mani so I didn't spend too long on cleanup. And my shaky fingers are because I'm trying to keep my other fingers out of the video – it's harder than it looks!)

In any case, this is a color comparison I was hoping existed before, but now I can manifest it myself 🙂

Poison (left) pulls a rusty orange in most lighting for me, and sometimes pulls a red in indirect light. Fiery Attraction (middle) pulls a deep scarlet in all lighting for me. Your Heart is a Black Hole (right) is similar to FA in all lighting for me, but it's slightly less saturated. They're all gorgeous! I have a preference for deep, saturated colors, so I'll be destashing my Poison and Your Heart is a Black Hole.

Each nail uses the following:

  • 1 coat of Nailtiques Formula 2 as base coat

  • 1 coat of Londontown / Kur Tinted Fortifying Ridge Filler (Apricot Beige)

  • 2 coats of lacquer (ILNP's Poison; Emily de Molly's Fiery Attraction; Mooncat's Your Heart is a Black Hole)

  • 1 coat of Holo Taco's Glossy Taco as topcoat

Each layer of lacquer and the top coat was velvetized using KBShimmer's 30lb magnet, 1 minute per coat.

I've also tried Starrily's Blood Belly Jelly on their Vantablack and Amulet, but it produces a bright pink magnetic look for me, so I didn't include it in this reds comparison. I would recommend potentially trying Flame Jelly for those who want to experiment. I don't have Flame Jelly so I can't address how well it compares, but I'd love to see photos if someone tries it on a black and Amulet!

I hope this is helpful! Happy shopping, fellow lacqueristas 🌸
