Why are my nail tips flattening like this after I paint them? What's happening? How do I prevent it? Am I using a bad brand? Please help. This has ruined so many cute sets I wanted to wear. I had others on display boards in bags and thought that was the problem. I tried keeping them in just regular little bags, lose, and still no help.
How do I get my tips to hold shape without gel? I'm allergic to it so it's regular polish only for me.

I’d try switching brands. Are you using a cheap brand? To me it seems like the polish is absorbing into the nail and flattening it like how water flattens your nails when they absorb it.
