I am so disappointed in the response to this comment. At best 2 shades can be used on brown medium deep skin. Deep and deep dark are completely left out. The single medium dark brown is aptly named messy.

  1. I dont think the messy thing was thought through/on purpose but it doesnt even go with the other names? So thats weird. I feel like the only possibly universal shade is Jazzy Juniper but then you’d have to commit to an orange lip which isnt super popular. Definitely not the shade range I was expecting. If she tried them out on other skintones that should also be reflected in the marketing photos.

  2. IDK but these colors are… well, just plain ugly and I can’t get past “Creamy Evocative” giving me the complete and total Ick.

  3. The only shade that miiiiight work for me is the very last one with the unfortunate name but I can find better basic brown liners at the drugstore.

The key word here is studio light. Lights can trick the cameras and colours and skintones don’t appear as they do in normal light. And the skin sample we can see is very small, maybe the model just has a lot of highlight.

If a light coloured shade was called “messy marble” would that be problematic?

I’m confused, why does Angelica answer as herself and then as Singe? Didn’t she say she was a one woman person? Or did she hire someone to do social media for her brand?

  6. “Medium” in what world? Certainly not Earth.

Are faded oranges and yellows the colors indie makeup users want?

Between the mahogany, the ashy one, and the orange one I honestly really appreciate when brands let me know they don’t value or appeal to black folk. I am glad to save my money or spend elsewhere instead of wasting it on these horrifically made liners.

Can someone with a dark skin tone explain to me why they can’t use those shades? Maybe not as nudes, but in general?
