I have some Olive and June nail polish, I usually use the kind of polish that isn't allowed here and have used that for years now. Trying to swap to regular polish now.

SO! I've noticed that if I start putting polish on my nail, then go back into the bottle for more if I didn't cover the whole nail, by the time I get back to my nail, the polish has started the dry and then I get a clumpy texture trying to add more

Do I need to just get better and picking up the exact amount of polish each time so I don't have to go back and forth?

  1. Pick up more polish but you can also let it dry more between coats so that the first layer doesn’t drag up when you put on the second layer. I usually do first coat on each hand and then go back to the first nail I did and by then it’s dry enough for second coat. It’s okay if the first coat isn’t perfectly opaque because usually the second coat will even it out nicely. Hope this helps!
