Here are some of my recent sets i have done myself with acrylic, i love the art but my problem is that i need to use so many layers of paint for the nail art that it seems to dull my edges and tips: (any tips on how to combat that? I try to do super thin layers but my bases are not the most opaque so i usually have to do a minimum of 2 layers just for the base.

For example, the nails with the pumpkin and leaf used 5 layers, 2 layers for the base color, 1 layer of top coat because i used eyeshadow for the aura effect, 1 layer for the pumpkin/leaf, and another top coat. It seemed to have dulled out the edges a lot. You can especially see it on my pinky how dulled out the edges look.

Before i put any paint on my acrylics, they are so sharp and look super crisp, but this always seems to happen when i do nail art!:( any tips would be so appreciated!!

disclaimer i do not have contact dermatitis, i have had eczema and dry skin on my hands since i was born!!

  1. get painting gel! you need opaque gels that are meant for painting so you only need one, max two coats to paint so you aren’t layering on nail art.
