I’m doing my weekly nails and I told myself that I would file them down because I feel like after this point they are too long for me and I struggle, but I forgot. I like the idea of long nails and I realize that these are not “long”, but for me they are. Now I’ve already started my polish so it’s next weeks problem and by the time next week gets here I’m going to be at work typing like Peter Griffin 😅. What is your nail length limit? Currently with Nailtiques formula 2 and Kur gelgenius base coat.

My limit is about the same as yours! If I go longer than that, I start to catch them on things or they break off. I work in a very hands on job (health care), so long nails aren’t a good fit for my lifestyle
i think as soon as the free nail hits like half the length of the nail bed i start to go a little crazy. they start to feel super fragile to me, and also i can’t scoop the correct amount of lotion out of the tub anymore LOL. I always keep them shorter on my right hand though—I get annoyed WAY faster on that side. (ignore my pinky nail, she was a victim of my tendency to run into doorframes 🙁 )

3cm is my absolute max length, but i file them down to 2.8 cm every week/two weeks
Currently 1/3 to 1/2 inch off the tip of my finger, any longer and I feel like I can’t do anything (even though I know I can adjust to it). They also hurt more when I’ve snapped them off, so I try to keep them this length or less.
I just let mine go until they eventually break. Sometimes they get pretty long. I also don’t cut them unless I have multiple breaks on one hand
Practically, about the length of yours. I have brittle, fragile nails, and they break easily.
Your nails are beautiful! I have a question – how do you file them down properly? Do you make sure you are doing it properly? I’m having the hardest time with trimming my nails, no matter what I do – they re splitting.

Mine look like they’re about the same length as yours. It’s the longest they have been in years. I can’t handle it. They’re getting taken down a bit on my next mani. It’s definitely a sensory thing for me. I don’t like the way I have to handle things. I don’t like touching my skin with them. I gave longer nails a try. It’s not for me.
