I haven’t seen many reviews on the following two products so I figured I write my own incase anyone comes across them and are interested. For info, I’m dry-sensitive skin in humid tropical climate.
Matsukiyo Cleansing Oil 250ml – HIGHLY RECOMMEND. Full price, this was 159 THB or $5 USD or 725 JPY. I can’t even remember who put me onto this but definitely an influencer on youtube otherwise I wouldn’t have bought it myself. It’s clear. A thick oil. Has a bit of an herbal scent in a good way. Washes makeup and waterproof eye makeup off very easily. The thickness of the oil is actually good because if it was more fluid, it would get in my eyes as I rub off eyeliner. But because this was thicker, it didn’t ‘flow’ into my eyes easily. No eye stinging. I wash it off in the shower with running water. (My friend washes her face at the sink and she says it kinda does sting her eyes a bit.) I use two pumps for a full face of makeup and that is plenty. One pump for only sunscreen days. I was able to get about 70 uses (of two pumps per time) for the bottle. So that’s about a little over 2 months. I haven’t been able to allow myself to try other cleansing oils because this is basically at least half the price of any of the other recommended ones out there. And I’m really trying to save as much as I can with the current global economy, lol.
Matsukiyo Foaming Facewash (the blue pump bottle) – DO NOT RECOMMEND. So I’m dry skin, my friend is oily skin. Both of us tried this and it was a nightmare. Super drying even on my friend’s oily skin. Feels super stripping. like more than squeaky clean. We do not recommend at all.
