i know people on this subreddit are, generally, pretty anti-amazon when it comes to purchasing skincare because of the possibility of recieving counterfeit products.
however, i found this ad from clio to be very interesting. they are GUARANTEEING amazon customers that anything that says it is being sold & shipped by clio is 100% authentic.
now, this is contradictory to what some amazon customers have said where items sold & shipped by the brand itself were still sending out counterfeits.
i personally also shop for skincare on amazon when i can’t wait weeks for skincare items and have been very lucky to not have recieved any faked items. sometimes, prices on amazon from the brands themselves even beat those on stylevana and yesstyle. i also avoid any items that are viral (BoJ, rice toner, etc) bc those are most likely to be faked.
but this guarantee… do you guys feel like it is misleading by clio or is the craze around possible faked items on amazon misconstruing authentic items sent out by the brand themselves?
i would love to read everyone’s thoughts!
