tldr: I have normal skin with straight hair in a temperate climate. I'm not buying any ab for 100 days, and I'm writing a review per day.

Today I started the day by washing my face with water and put on POLA Light Selector Day Cream. I followed that up with Visee Glow Balm Foundation in shade 02 using a cushion foundation puff and dabbed Visee Color Duo Trick Concealer in 01 Red Trick (Natural Beige)putting on the apricot shade first and layering it with the concealer shade. I blended both the foundation and the concealer in with a wet wedge sponge, and topped it off with a non-ab setting spray.

I put on Dinto Blur Lip Tint mini from their Valentine limited edition in shade 263 Victoria. I then put on Visee Riche Gemy Rich Eyes GY-7, putting the lightest shade on my entire lid and under my eye, and followed that up with the third lightest shade blending it from my lash line until I can juuust see some color when I have my eye open (I have monolids, so this is what I do instead of putting it until my eye lid crease) I also put it lightly on my bottom lid, making it a light smokey eye. I then lined the last 1/3 of my top and bottom lid with Canmake Creamy Touch Liner in 11. I dabbed my lip with a tissue, and put on Mentholatum Water Lip for sun protection.

I tamed my flyaway hair with &Honey Matomake Stick throughout the day.

For night time, I took my make up off with Shu Uemura Blanc Chroma Lightening and Polishing Cleansing Oil. I washed my hair using the Cow Brand Additive Free Shampoo. I then did a hair mask with Tsubaki Premium Hair Mask, and followed that up with & Honey Ex Deep Hair Oil, like usual, once before the hair dries, and once after. After the bath, I put Elexir Balancing Water II, then following that up with Melano CC all in one gel. For the face, I soaked a compressed face mask with Elexir Balancing Water II and left it on the face as a face mask for around 2 min,and I put on some IHADA Acne Cure Cream on places where there was white heads

Skin condition: So…this morning I thought it was fine if I use cushion foundation puff that's been used before, thinking, plenty of people do this, and they seem to be fine, so I should be fine too. I was not fine, by the afternoon, my entire face erupted with like a dozen small white heads. It got better after I did my entire cleansing routine and put on some acne cream, but it was still a good reminder that I need to be washing the puffs and sponges between every use.

Today's review: Visee Glow Balm Foundation.

Just a heads up but I don't know if anyone's noticed that I use a lot of Visee products, and that's because one of my favorite artist is the ambassador for the brand, and as a result my purse string is extra loose for Visee. Because of that I have a lot of different product from them. Including things that I would never have bought if my favorite artist wasn't the ambassador. But it's also introduced me to some of my favorite products, as well as convincing me to buy some products that, due to formulation or color scheme or the product just… not something that I focus on in make up, are terrible. Everything that I buy from the brand is at full price and I've never received gifts or money from the company, I just wanted to explain why my reviews might have way more Visee products than from other brands. I'm going to be reviewing more of them because that's what I have in the house, and I'm not inclined to give it a better review than what the products deserve.

The Glow Balm Foundation is one of the really good ones though, I think I would have bought it even if I wasn't prone to immediately putting Visee products in my cart without thinking. I've always had a heavy affinity to balm and gel foundation, before this one, my go to foundation was Integrate's Water Crush Jelly Foundation, which was also really good, especially since it was transfer proof right out of the gate, whereas for Visee you need a bit more work to make it transfer proof. I finished two tubs of the Glow Balm Foundation and I already hit pan on the third. I'm so thrilled that balm foundations are making a bit of a comeback with multiple brands releasing it this year. I think my problem with liquid foundation is that it's hard to control how much I want to put on my face and that every liquid foundation that I tried just feels really cakey and heavy to me. I would say that I like cushion foundations better but I don't. The idea of having like a sponge soaked with product that I would pick up with a puff kind of freaks me out a bit. Maybe it's the little holes.

Anyhow, The Glow Balm Foundation. It's a foundation that I often forget I have foundation on. It's natural, it blends easily and if you set it with setting spray before and after the foundation and buff it out into the skin well, it's transfer proof. Even better, the layer of foundation is so thin that even if you scratch your skin, there would be nothing that could be scratched off. It's still there, but you have to literally rub it with a white rough fabric to get any color off. I have worn this during for 8+ hours with a mask on at work in the middle of the summer and at the end there was barely any color on the mask.

On the other hand, it's so natural that I forget that I have it on, and keeps wondering why do I even keep putting this on since it doesn't seem to do anything. Then I forget to use it and I look at my self in the bathroom mirror at work and wonder why I look so terrible today before remembering that right, I don't have foundation on. I think part of the reason why I think it doesn't do anything is because it doesn't really cover flaws in the skin so much as it makes it less noticeable. For me that's a good enough trade off if it means that I can have a foundation that's super comfortable to wear, even if I occasionally think it's not doing anything.

I really hate the packaging though. It's just glossy and round enough that it would slip out of my hands really easily, and the puff sits on top of a cover that you have to fully remove before being able to get to the product. The cover is also in the exact right size that they are able to fall into the foundation, making a mess. Honestly, I just toss the cover and keep the puffs separately so that I don't have to keep track of so many different moving pieces.

The shade range is atrocious. Three shades are absolutely not enough even for just East Asians, never mind an international market. Even if three people have the exact same shade depth, the undertone difference would mean they need different shades. I use 02, and I'm only like a tad darker than the average East Asian, and its the darkest shade.

Pros: Natural looking finish, transfer proof, super comfortable, affordable, makes flaws less noticeable

Cons: Awkward packaging, atrocious shade range.

Will I buy again? Probably yes. I have a couple backups and I have other ones that I want to try, but I think I'll probably always have this in stock just because it's so reliable.
