Just saw you need a whopping 6 PUMPS of the skin1004 spf for your face?!!! Is this true?
Surely that’s too much? I’ve been using 2 pumps and felt this was fine? And is 6 pumps for all sunscreens? Isn’t 2 finger length method no longer accurate? As 2 finger length is a lot less than 6 pumps.
1/4 teaspoon is the measurement I use; meaning liquids tend to be more and thick creams tend to be less. This is for face only. More is needed if applied to neck and etc.
I don’t know if 6 pumps is right but 2 pumps is definitely not enough for sure 😅 you need half a teaspoon for your entire face

I use 6 pumps for face and neck. Three pumps is 1 finger length for me.

You need 1/4 teaspoon for the average face/front of neck, 2 pumps is definitely not enough. I don’t pay super close attention to exactly how many I use but I would say I probably use 5ish pumps on average for my face/neck. AFAIK the finger thing was 3 fingers, and I don’t think it was ever a great measurement because a) people’s fingers have very different lengths, and b) some people put a thin barely there line down each finger while other use a thicker more generous line. It was never a super precise measurement or a rule per se, just a guideline hopefully likely to get most people closeish to what they should be using instead of winging it since most people don’t keep measuring spoons next to their sunscreen.

There is no standard amount for all people on earth.
The amount is 2 mg per cm squared. So if your face is small you need less product compared to a person with bigger face.
