i live in korea and honestly most koreans don’t really use those hyped-up global skincare brands anymore.
we have this place called Daiso, kind of like a $1 store.
and they’ve been collabing with actual beauty brands to drop full-on skincare + makeup lines for $2~$3!
toners, creams, cleansers, sunscreens, sheet masks
but also foundation, lip products, even hair & body stuff all $3!!
(even that pricey brand Reedle Shot in the US? it’s $3 here lol)
now that most people here just buy these $3 options,
big brands seem way more focused on the overseas market than domestic.
if you’re visiting korea, def go to Daiso
there’s one in almost every subway area, and they all carry slightly different stuff
the one in Sangbong is the biggest (it’s huge like 2,640m²)
