skin type: dry/combo, acne-prone

    skin tone: fair

    hair type: low-porosity, dry/frizzy ends, oily/sensitive/finicky scalp

climate: dry winters/humid summers (east coast US)

in light of recent events, i decided to stock up on some products and ended up purchasing some new-to-me ones as well! products are listed below, with some thoughts on any that i've tried. i've put a star (★) next to my personal favorites!

mise en scene perfect serum (WRP): my favorite hair product! i know i've waxed poetic about it in the comments on other posts, but suffice to say that i could not live without it. i use it while my hair is still wet after a shower and it tames my frizz like no other. also surprisingly affordable compared to most hair oils!

manyo bifida biome complex ampoule (WRP): i just recently tried adding this to my routine again, and it has helped a lot when i overdid it with tret! that said, my skin is finicky, and i'm trying not to use it too often because i feel like it causes my skin to be more congested (?) and textured. i still enjoy it though!

beauty of joseon radiance cleansing balm (WRP): i've bought more of these than i can count. i can't use oil cleansers because they do more harm than good for my skin, and most balm cleansers have added fragrance that i can't tolerate. this is the only one i've been able to find that doesn't have a cloying scent and that makes my skin feel clean. i can honestly use this without a second cleanser because it rinses off so well.

dear, klairs all-day airy sunscreen (WRP): can you tell that i love this?! wishtrend was having a good sale on them so i had to buy in bulk. no discernible scent, doesn't sting, no whitecast, feels moisturizing but has a natural finish—need i say more?! i could write poems about her

manyo pure & deep cleansing foam (WNRP): i read some reviews that said that this didn't strip dry skin, and i have to say that that hasn't been my experience. this cleanser dried me out so badly that my skin burned, though i suppose that's my fault for not trusting my gut about it. regifted this set to a family member with oily skin!

i'm from mugwort essence (WRP): this stuff is pricy, but i really love it for the summer. soothing and moisturizing without being too heavy.

    torriden solid-in lip essence

beplain mung bean pore grinding cleansing balm

derma b ac control body mist

dewy tree urban shade cool calming moist sun: i was really intrigued by how big these bottles are (150mL for the same price as most 50mL sunscreens!) and i do like the sunscreen itself. it doesn't sting, has only a mild minty scent, and does take some rubbing in but doesn't leave a white cast. my main issue with it is that it flakes soo badly with friction; i often have to wear a mask at work, and the mask rubbing on the skin around my mouth is enough to make the sunscreen start peeling. i am still experimenting with which products i layer under it to see if maybe that's the issue, so whether i would repurchase or not is TBD! worst case scenario i'll use this sunscreen up on my body

round lab 1025 dokdo toner (WRP): i know that this is a favorite on this sub, and for good reason! so simple and affordable, but also hydrating and layerable. i've seen some people complain about it basically being water but that's why i love it! also thought that the otter pouch GWP was super cute :,)

    illiyoon ceramide ato lotion

healing bird revive no wash treatment deep moisture

round lab birch juice moisturizing cleanser

aestura atobarrier cream (WRP): i really didn't want to like this because of the price, but alas… i tried several dupes recommended on this sub and none worked for me as well as this does. even with tret and in the dead of winter, i wake up with moisturized skin when i use this. i haven't tried it in the summer yet so i can't speak on if it's too much for humid nights.
