Reedle Shot

I’ve been using the regular/OG reedle 100 for a year and like it a lot! I have very sensitive skin (thin, atopic dermatitis, dry, cracks when it’s cold out 🥴), so it’s rare for me to enjoy an exfoliating product! I use my OG one 1-2x per week and skip it when my skin is on fire 🔥

I wanted to try the Pro Cica and Hydro Reedle Shots because I heard they’re better for sensitive skin 🤠 They definitely sting less than the OG one for me! Because the Hydro shot really doesn’t sting, it made me overconfident and I made the mistake of using it daily…I broke my skin barrier 😇 lmao…The Hydro also has a much more watery/thin consistency- for some reason, I prefer the thicker consistency of the OG Reedle!

After my skin settled, I used the Pro Cica, and IT IS SO GOOD! It’s my favorite out of the three that I have tried! It stings slightly more than the Hydro one, and it has the same consistency as the OG. I’m able to use it every other day without my skin tweaking, bless 🙏 I feel like it offers the same exfoliation as the OG with less irritation. My skin is smoother the morning after. I do glomp on a bunch of other calming Cica products after, along with a tea tree modeling mask- I do not use any other active ingredients after because my face would be mad at me! I make sure that my skin is super hydrated with multiple layers of skincare (finishing off always with my Illyoon ceramide ato cream, even if other steps change). I wake up with glowy glazed donut skin after 😗💖

In comparison, my mom and aunt use the OG Reedle everyday, and they love it (they went through one bottle each after I gifted them some, and they just bought more). They say it makes their skin much smoother, and they feel like it’s helped any hyperpigmentation they have as well. They don’t really use other actives (retinol/Vit C), so the Reedle shot must be doing something good just on its own!

I know that there’s some controversy surrounding the Reedle Shots, but as someone who is too scared to get actual professional facial exfoliation treatments (I just know I’m gonna break out), I think the Cica Reedle will get you very good results at home.
